1. Oversee the daily maintenance and operations of all golf courses within the City of Honolulu, ensuring they are kept to the highest standards.
2. Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all golf courses, including turf care, irrigation, pest management, and equipment maintenance.
3. Hire, train, and manage a team of golf course maintenance staff, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
4. Monitor course conditions and make adjustments to maintenance practices as needed to ensure optimal playing conditions.
5. Develop and manage the annual budget for golf course maintenance, including forecasting expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
6. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in turf management.
7. Conduct regular inspections of the golf courses to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues.
8. Maintain records and reports on course conditions, maintenance activities, and expenses.
9. Coordinate with golf course staff to schedule maintenance and ensure minimal disruption to golfers.
10. Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in turf management to continuously improve the quality of our golf courses.
11. Represent the City of Honolulu at golf course superintendent meetings and conferences.
12. Serve as a point of contact for golf course-related inquiries and concerns from residents and visitors.
13. Uphold the City's commitment to providing a world-class golfing experience for all visitors and residents through exceptional course maintenance.
14. Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed by staff and guests on the golf course.
15. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Director or City officials.
