Associate Planner
Associate Planner is the full professional level class in this planning class series, with responsibilities spanning the entire spectrum of the City's civil planning and community development function. Conducts, coordinates and participates in the more complex research on planning problems including population estimates, economic growth, land use and social statistics or carry through a total project of moderate scope. Reviews and redesigns subdivision plans for conformity to master plan and planning codes. Directs and analyzes field studies of rezoning and variance requests. Collects, analyzes and presents data for the preparation of various elements of the master plan.
Four years of professional planning or community development experience
Possession of an appropriate MS degree may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
