
Utility Emergency Management Coordinator

- Develop and implement emergency response plans for utility services, including water, electricity, and gas, in collaboration with relevant departments and agencies.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all utility emergency response efforts, maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and assess potential emergency situations that may affect utility services, and make recommendations for proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate and conduct regular emergency drills and training for utility staff to ensure preparedness and response effectiveness.
- Maintain and update emergency contact lists, protocols, and procedures for utility services.
- Collaborate with other emergency management personnel to ensure a cohesive and coordinated response to community-wide emergencies.
- Liaise with city officials, community leaders, and emergency response agencies to provide accurate and timely information on utility service disruptions and restoration efforts.
- Prepare and present reports on emergency response activities, including lessons learned and best practices.
- Manage and oversee the use of emergency equipment and resources for utility services during emergencies.
- Stay informed about emerging emergency management trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve utility emergency response efforts.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Management, Preferably In A Utility Or Government Setting.
Knowledge Of Emergency Management Principles, Practices, And Procedures, As Well As Local, State, And Federal Regulations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Coordinate And Collaborate With Multiple Departments, Agencies, And Stakeholders.
Certification In Emergency Management, Such As Certified Emergency Manager (Cem) Or Certified Business Continuity Professional (Cbcp), Is Preferred.
