  1. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the City of Austin's operations, assets, and projects.
  2. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and minimize their impact on the organization.
  3. Analyze data and information to identify trends and patterns that could pose risks to the City and its operations.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather information and assess potential risks associated with their projects and activities.
  5. Monitor and evaluate risk management strategies to ensure their effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
  6. Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  7. Communicate and present risk management findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments related to risk management and incorporate them into the City's risk management framework.
  9. Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
  10. Work closely with insurance providers to ensure adequate coverage for potential risks.
  11. Train and educate employees on risk management principles and practices to promote a culture of risk awareness and mitigation.
  12. Continuously monitor and assess potential risks, and make proactive recommendations to prevent or mitigate them.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of risk assessments, strategies, and control measures.
  14. Collaborate with other risk management professionals within the organization to share knowledge and best practices.
  15. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Job Qualifications
