- Monitor and manage the city's online presence, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available to the public.
- Assist in crisis communication planning and execution.
- Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to promote city initiatives and events.
- Attend city meetings and events to gather information and provide updates to the public.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of communication efforts and effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Public Information Or Media Relations Role.
Proficient In Writing, Editing, And Producing Various Types Of Communication Materials, Including Press Releases, Social Media Posts, And Website Content.
Knowledge Of Public Information Laws And Regulations, Such As The Texas Public Information Act, And Ability To Ensure Compliance With These Laws.
Excellent Interpersonal And Public Speaking Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Audiences And Represent The City Of Austin In A Professional Manner.
