
Procurement Specialist

- Oversee the city's procurement processes and ensure they are in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and ethical procurement practices.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on changes in procurement laws and regulations.
- Review and analyze bids and proposals to ensure they meet the city's needs and requirements.
- Collaborate with various city departments to identify procurement needs and develop appropriate solicitation documents.
- Evaluate vendor performance and conduct vendor outreach to increase competition and identify potential new suppliers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and other stakeholders.
- Train and educate city staff on procurement policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track procurement activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and recommend improvements to the process.
- Conduct audits and investigations to ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
- Handle any procurement-related inquiries or complaints from city staff or vendors.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all procurement activities.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of procurement operations.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Procurement, Purchasing, Or Supply Chain Management.
Knowledge Of Procurement Laws And Regulations, Including But Not Limited To Federal, State, And Local Laws.
Strong Analytical And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Source And Evaluate Potential Vendors And Negotiate Contracts.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Departments And Stakeholders Within The Organization.
