- Design and plan the development and preservation of outdoor spaces within the City of Austin.
- Create and implement sustainable design strategies and practices for all projects.
- Collaborate with city officials, stakeholders, and community members to understand their needs and desires for outdoor spaces.
- Conduct site assessments and analyze environmental factors to inform design decisions.
- Develop and present detailed design proposals, including sketches, renderings, and technical drawings.
- Coordinate with other departments and outside contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in landscape architecture and urban planning.

Bachelor's Degree In Landscape Architecture Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Landscape Architecture Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Landscape Architect Position At City Of Austin. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Design And Plan Outdoor Spaces In An Urban Environment.
