  1. Manage and maintain the City of Austin's database system to ensure efficient and accurate data storage and retrieval.
  2. Perform regular backups and updates to maintain data integrity and security.
  3. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  4. Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement database solutions to meet the city's needs.
  5. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies.
  6. Create and maintain database documentation, including data standards and procedures.
  7. Provide technical support and training to staff on database systems and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Database Management, Preferably In A Government Or Large Organization Setting.

  • Proficient In Sql And Database Programming Languages, Such As Oracle, Mysql, Or Microsoft Sql Server.

  • Experience With Database Design, Implementation, And Maintenance, Including Data Security And Disaster Recovery.

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
