- Provide expert guidance and support to the City of Austin's human resources team and management.
- Utilize extensive knowledge and experience in human resources to advise on best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage, motivate, and retain employees across all levels of the organization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, offering solutions and resources to address workplace issues and concerns.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancement of HR programs and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to human resources and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Coach and mentor HR team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and deliver training programs for employees and managers on various HR topics.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to provide updates, present data, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Handle complex employee relations issues and provide guidance on conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure compliance with data protection laws.
- Act as a representative for the City of Austin in external HR-related events and meetings.
- Collaborate with external organizations and agencies to enhance the City's human resources practices and initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve HR processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Human Resources, With At Least 2 Years In A Senior Or Leadership Role
Extensive Knowledge Of Hr Policies, Procedures, And Best Practices, Including Employment Laws And Regulations
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Advise And Influence All Levels Of Employees
Experience In Developing And Implementing Hr Strategies And Initiatives, Including Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, And Employee Engagement Programs.
