  • Develop and lead engaging and interactive classes and workshops in various forms of art and cultural practices
  • Create and design curriculum that aligns with the City of Austin's goals and objectives
  • Inspire and motivate students of all ages to explore their creativity and develop their skills in the arts
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Utilize effective teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities

  • Stay updated on current trends and techniques in the arts and incorporate them into class curriculum

  • Adhere to all city policies and procedures regarding teaching and working with the public
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in the arts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Fine Arts, Art Education, Or Cultural Studies.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Teaching And Facilitating Cultural And Arts Programs To Diverse Audiences.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Art Forms And Cultural Traditions, With A Focus On Local And Regional Arts.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Successfully Engage With Students, Colleagues, And Community Members.

  • Ability To Develop And Implement Engaging Lesson Plans And Activities That Align With City Of Austin's Cultural And Arts Education Goals.
