  1. Manage and oversee all administrative services within the Austin Public Health department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to support the overall mission and goals of the city, specifically in the area of public health.
  3. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts in creating a healthy and thriving community.
  4. Provide leadership and direction to a team of administrative staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  5. Establish and maintain budgets for administrative services, ensuring proper allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the performance of administrative services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in administrative services and public health, and apply this knowledge to improve operations and processes within the department.
  8. Serve as a liaison between the Austin Public Health department and other city departments, as well as external partners and stakeholders.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations and leaders to support and promote public health initiatives.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to administrative services and public health.
  11. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and recommendations to senior management and city officials, providing updates on departmental activities and progress towards goals.
  12. Act as a representative of the city and the Austin Public Health department at various community events and meetings, promoting the department's mission and initiatives.
  13. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging new ideas and approaches to achieve better outcomes for the community.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Public Health Organization.

  • Strong Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Public Health Policies And Regulations.

  • Proven Experience In Managing Budgets, Developing Strategic Plans, And Implementing Organizational Goals.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders And Community Partners.
