  1. Conduct outreach and recruitment efforts to attract highly motivated and ambitious high school students for the 2025 High School Summer Internship Programs.
  2. Plan and organize the internship program, including creating schedules, coordinating with department supervisors, and providing necessary resources and materials.
  3. Facilitate orientation and training sessions for interns to ensure they have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
  4. Assign interns to various departments based on their interests and goals, taking into consideration their skills and abilities.
  5. Monitor and evaluate intern performance, providing regular feedback and support to ensure their success.
  6. Collaborate with department supervisors to develop meaningful and challenging projects for interns to work on.
  7. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for interns, encouraging them to share ideas and collaborate with each other.
  8. Serve as a mentor and role model for interns, providing guidance and support as they navigate their professional development.
  9. Maintain regular communication with interns, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure the internship program is running smoothly and meeting its objectives.
  10. Collect and analyze data to assess the impact and effectiveness of the internship program and make recommendations for future improvements.
  11. Act as a liaison between the City of Austin and the interns, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  12. Collaborate with other city departments and organizations to provide additional learning opportunities and networking events for interns.
  13. Uphold the values and mission of the City of Austin and promote a positive image of the organization and its internship programs.
