
Financial Reporting Intermediate Analyst
Citigroup is looking for an experienced and motivated Financial Reporting Intermediate Analyst to join our growing team. As an integral part of the Financial Reporting team, this position requires a detail-oriented, analytical thinker who is highly organized and can work independently. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical accounting, financial analysis, and strong communication skills.The Financial Reporting Intermediate Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and financial reporting activities, including the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other periodic disclosures. The position requires a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and reporting requirements.The successful candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, as well as at least two to three years of experience in a public accounting firm or financial services organization. In addition, the ideal candidate should possess strong technical accounting skills, a working knowledge of financial reporting systems, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and other periodic disclosures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial data and develop reports to provide stakeholders with accurate and timely financial information.
- Monitor and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with the preparation of external audit schedules and other documents as requested by external auditors.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial reporting processes and procedures.
- Assist in the production of timely and accurate financial statements for management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other departments to ensure financial information is accurately reported.
- Assist in the review of consolidated financial statements and other financial information.
- Research technical accounting issues and provide guidance related to new and existing regulations.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on financial reporting.
