  1. Conduct regular audits and assessments of Citi's operations to identify and mitigate potential sanctions risks.
  2. Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure compliance with sanctions regulations.
  3. Stay up-to-date on all relevant laws and regulations related to sanctions and embargoes.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance and support on sanctions-related matters.
  5. Conduct thorough investigations into potential sanctions violations and report findings to senior management.
  6. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on sanctions regulations and company policies.
  7. Monitor and analyze sanctions-related news and developments to proactively identify potential risks and provide recommendations.
  8. Provide guidance and support to the business on sanctions-related issues and transactions.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sanctions-related activities and transactions.
  10. Communicate with regulatory agencies and respond to inquiries and requests related to sanctions compliance.
  11. Regularly report on sanctions compliance to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  12. Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of the company's sanctions compliance program.
  13. Serve as a subject matter expert on sanctions regulations and provide guidance to other compliance and business teams.
  14. Collaborate with external consultants and advisors to enhance the company's sanctions compliance program.
  15. Represent the company in external meetings and forums related to sanctions compliance.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Regulatory Frameworks: A Compliance Sanctions Officer At The Vice President Level Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of International And Domestic Regulatory Frameworks, Including Sanctions Regulations Such As Ofac, Eu And Un Sanctions, And Aml/Cft Laws.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: The Job Of A Compliance Sanctions Officer Requires The Ability To Analyze Complex Data And Information From Various Sources To Identify Potential Risks And Violations. A Vice President Should Have Strong Quantitative And Qualitative Analysis Skills To Effectively Evaluate And Mitigate Risks.

  • Experience In Financial Services: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience In The Financial Services Industry, Preferably In A Compliance Or Risk Management Role. This Experience Should Include A Strong Understanding Of Banking Products And Services, As Well As Knowledge Of Operational And Compliance Processes.

  • Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Vice President, The Compliance Sanctions Officer Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team And Communicating With Senior Management And Regulators. Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Influence And Negotiate, Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Ability To Navigate Complex Organizations: Citi Is A Large And Complex Organization, And The Compliance Sanctions Officer Will Need To Navigate Through Various Departments And Functions To Ensure That All Areas Of The Business Are Compliant With Sanctions Regulations. A Vice President Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Building Relationships And Collaborating With Stakeholders Across Different Levels And Business Units.
