  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Cisco's global network infrastructure.
  2. Monitor and ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of complex systems.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software engineering and infrastructure operations.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for system improvements.
  5. Conduct regular system audits and provide recommendations for optimization.
  6. Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance system performance.
  7. Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of new software and systems.
  8. Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.
  9. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  10. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical system issues in a timely manner.
  11. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
  12. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in site reliability engineering.
  13. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on system performance and any issues or risks.
  14. Collaborate with vendors and service providers to maintain and improve system performance.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to security and compliance.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Cloud Architecture: A Senior Site Reliability Engineer At Cisco Systems Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Cloud Infrastructure, Including Designing, Deploying, And Managing Cloud-Based Systems.

  • Proficiency In Programming And Scripting: The Role Requires Strong Programming Skills In Languages Such As Python, Java, And Ruby, As Well As Proficiency In Scripting Languages Such As Bash And Powershell.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Devops Principles: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Devops Principles And Best Practices, Including Continuous Integration And Delivery, Automated Testing, And Configuration Management.
