Job Description

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Cisco Systems, you’ll have the opportunity to create innovative solutions and drive the development of cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a passion for engineering, and extensive experience in the embedded software engineering field.Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development. Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, as well as experience with embedded operating systems like Linux and RTOS is also required. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test cutting-edge embedded software solutions

• Troubleshoot and debug software issues

• Develop software applications using C, C++, and Python

• Leverage embedded operating systems such as Linux and RTOS

• Research and recommend new embedded software technologies

• Work with teams and stakeholders to create software solutions

• Document and present software developments to stakeholders

• Monitor emerging trends in the embedded software engineering field

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the successful completion of projects

• Ensure software meets quality standards and complies with applicable regulations
