Principal Advisor, Security – Premier (SLED)

- Develop and implement security strategies for state, local, and education government entities within the Premier (SLED) sector.
- Lead and manage a team of security consultants and provide guidance on best practices for client engagements.
- Collaborate with top industry leaders to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in cybersecurity.
- Conduct in-depth assessments of client security needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as their primary point of contact for all security-related inquiries.
- Develop and deliver presentations and workshops to educate clients on cybersecurity risks and solutions.
- Stay updated on regulatory and compliance requirements for the Premier (SLED) sector and ensure clients are in compliance.
- Monitor and analyze security trends and provide recommendations for proactive measures to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Premier (SLED) sector.
- Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to promote Cisco's security solutions and services.
- Stay updated on Cisco's security products and services and provide input on product development and enhancements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity for the Premier (SLED) sector and provide thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and train junior team members to enhance their knowledge and skills in cybersecurity and sales.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions, project progress, and sales forecasts.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Extensive Experience In Security Management: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Security Management, With A Strong Background In Developing And Implementing Security Strategies For Government And Public Sector Clients.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Sled Sector: A Thorough Understanding Of The Sled (State, Local, And Education) Sector Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Unique Security Challenges And Regulations Faced By Government And Public Sector Organizations.
Strong Technical Skills: As A Principal Advisor, Security, The Candidate Should Possess Strong Technical Skills, Including A Deep Understanding Of Network Security, Cloud Security, And Endpoint Security Solutions. Experience With Cisco Security Products And Solutions Is Preferred.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Security Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders. Additionally, Strong Leadership Skills Are Required To Lead And Guide A Team Of Security Professionals.
Relevant Certifications: The Candidate Should Hold Relevant Certifications Such As Cissp, Cism, And/Or Cisa To Demonstrate Their Expertise And Knowledge In The Field Of Security. These Certifications Are Highly Valued By Cisco Systems And Will Be Considered A Plus For The Role.
