Job Description

To support this mission, we are seeking a highly qualified and driven Leader of Global Trade Compliance to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable trade laws and regulations.   1. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all global trade laws and regulations.
  2. Stay updated on changes and developments in global trade regulations and communicate any potential impacts to the company.
  3. Train and educate team members on global trade compliance best practices and procedures.
  4. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance in all aspects of the business, including procurement, sales, and shipping.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry organizations to stay informed and ensure compliance.
  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for all global trade compliance inquiries and concerns.
  8. Oversee the classification and valuation of products to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
  9. Monitor and maintain records of all trade-related activities and transactions.
  10. Develop and implement corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies in cases of non-compliance.
  11. Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
  12. Stay up-to-date on current global trade trends and practices to continuously improve compliance processes and procedures.
  13. Provide guidance and support to the company's international operations to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  14. Collaborate with legal counsel to review and update global trade compliance policies and procedures as needed.
  15. Continuously assess and improve the company's global trade compliance program to ensure the highest level of ethical standards are maintained.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of International Trade Regulations: A Leader In Global Trade Compliance At Cisco Systems Should Have A Deep Understanding Of International Trade Regulations, Including Export Controls, Sanctions, And Customs Regulations.

  • Experience In Global Trade Compliance: Cisco Systems Requires A Leader With Proven Experience In Global Trade Compliance, Preferably In A Multinational Corporation. This Includes Experience In Creating And Implementing Compliance Programs And Managing Trade Compliance Audits.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Interpret Complex Trade Compliance Regulations And Assess Their Impact On Cisco's Global Operations. They Should Also Be Able To Analyze Data And Make Informed Decisions To Mitigate Potential Compliance Risks.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Leader In Global Trade Compliance, Effective Communication Is Crucial In Building Relationships With Internal And External Stakeholders. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Complex Trade Compliance Concepts To Different Audiences.

  • Strategic Thinking: A Leader In Global Trade Compliance Should Be Able To Think Strategically And Develop Long-Term Plans To Ensure Cisco's Compliance With Evolving Trade Regulations. They Should Also Be Able To Identify Potential Risks And Develop Proactive Strategies To Mitigate Them.
