Claims - Reporting Specialist
Review statutory data bulletins and requests for claims information. Process and submit data to state regulatory entities related to medical malpractice, workers compensation, catastrophe, fraud, or other claim-related areas extract claims-related data from various reporting tools to meet reporting requirements, including development of claims-data queries in the Claims Business Warehouse. Document process for obtaining the data required for each reporting request. Produce quality reports and data that rarely need correction. Follows and maintains procedures and documentation work with others to help design new reporting applications to meet statutory reporting requests. Collaborate with others to ensure superior data quality across systems. Provide suggestions, opinions and decisions related to reporting role.
The ability to understand and interpret reporting requirements written in a variety of formats and jargons
Ability to learn complex tasks such as creating queries for reports
2+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of insurance industry, including experience with claims or related insurance area
Understanding of internal claim applications and the relationship to reporting
Presentation skills
