Logistics Manager

Plan, develop and lead strategic initiatives related to the supply chain operations that supports growth and sustainability. Engage and coordinate efforts of other CHS Business Units to bring enterprise value in these efforts, where possible. Provide subject matter expertise for all supply chain operation-related ERP initiatives (SAP), enhancements and applications development. Provide leadership and managerial responsibilities to a staff of logistics specialists to assure exceptional service to our client plants (to retain business) and plants-in-development at the lowest cost. Establish and communicate performance standards and objectives. Monitor plant production, sales and supply to optimize logistical movements. Establish and grow relationships with all business unit production facilities and truck transportation companies. Negotiate truck freight rates with our carrier partners.
