Sr. Research Accountant, Sales Tax

Chick-fil-A is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Research Accountant, Sales Tax to join our team! This role requires an individual with strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. We are seeking someone who is passionate about research and accounting principles and who is eager to contribute to our success. The Sr. Research Accountant, Sales Tax will be responsible for providing detailed and accurate research on Sales Tax laws and best practices, and preparing and submitting accurate Sales Tax returns.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, at least five years of experience in Sales Tax research and compliance, and a deep understanding of the Sales Tax laws in the United States. Additionally, strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, great written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are essential. Responsibilities for the Sr. Research Accountant, Sales Tax:

• Research Sales Tax laws and best practices for accuracy and compliance • Prepare and submit accurate Sales Tax returns • Analyze data trends from research and tax returns • Manage Sales Tax accounts and records • Monitor and recommend changes to Sales Tax laws • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance and accuracy • Provide detailed reports to management • Monitor Sales Tax payments and ensure timely submission • Generate reports to track Sales Tax payments and compliance • Develop and implement Sales Tax process improvements • Maintain relationships with external auditors and other authorities • Stay current on all federal, state and local Sales Tax laws and regulations
