Accountant, Sales Tax

We require the following qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent• At least three years of experience in sales tax and/or accounting• Expert-level knowledge of sales tax regulations• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)• Experience with Quickbooks and/or ERP systems is a plus

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and file sales tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Ensure compliance with all applicable sales tax regulations.
3. Monitor and reconcile sales tax accounts.
4. Research and resolve discrepancies in sales tax accounts.
5. Analyze and review sales tax accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness.
6. Maintain and update sales tax records.
7. Prepare financial reports related to sales tax activity.
8. Monitor and update sales tax laws and regulations.
9. Prepare and submit reports to internal and external stakeholders as required.
10. Participate in projects related to sales tax and accounting.
11. Other duties as assigned.
