Job Description

CHI St. Alexius Health is seeking a dedicated and organized Student Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting in the delivery of quality healthcare services. This position requires a combination of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.The Pharmacy Technician will provide support to the pharmacy team by performing a variety of technical and administrative tasks, including stocking shelves, collecting payments, and interpreting prescriber’s orders. To be successful in this role, the individual must possess the following qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent• Current certification or enrollment in a pharmacy technician program• Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of medication names, uses, and dosages• Good organizational skills and attention to detail• Excellent customer service and communication skills• Ability to work well as part of a team• Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentIf you have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and are looking for an opportunity to grow and develop professionally, we invite you to apply for this exciting position at CHI St. Alexius Health.

Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves with medications and other products • Collect payments from customers • Interpret prescriber’s orders and accurately enter patient information • Prepare medications for dispensing • Assist with compounding medications • Maintain knowledge of medication names, uses, and dosages • Communicate with customers, staff, and other healthcare personnel • Assist with inventory control and management • Adhere to safety and quality standards • Ensure accuracy of all documents and orders • Assist with verifying orders for accuracy and completeness • Maintain a clean and organized work environment • Perform other duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or other pharmacy staff
