Scrub Technician

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Scrub Technician to join the surgical team at CHI St. Alexius Health. Our team is dedicated to providing excellent patient care and outcomes. As a Scrub Technician, you will assist the surgical team with patient preparation, setting up the operating room, and preparing equipment and supplies. The ideal candidate for this position must have knowledge of surgical aseptic techniques and procedures, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare patients for surgery, including taking vital signs and ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete.
2. Set up the operating room according to the specific needs of the surgery, including gathering necessary supplies and equipment.
3. Maintain sterile technique in the operating room and adhere to all safety protocols.
4. Assist the surgical team with tasks such as passing instruments and suturing.
5. Monitor the condition of patients before, during, and after surgery.
6. Keep detailed records of supplies used, patient progress, and any other relevant information.
7. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
8. Ensure all equipment is properly disinfected and stored after each procedure.
