
RN Surgical Charge Nurse

- Oversee daily operations of the surgical unit and ensure efficient and effective functioning of all processes.
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, including training, mentoring, and evaluating their performance.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care by monitoring and maintaining standards of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement best practices and policies for patient care.
- Assess and prioritize patient needs, assign tasks to nursing staff accordingly, and ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Serve as a role model for nursing staff by demonstrating clinical expertise and professionalism.
- Identify and address any issues or concerns within the surgical unit and work towards finding solutions.
- Monitor and manage patient flow to ensure efficient and timely delivery of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in surgical nursing and implement them into practice.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with the unit manager to develop and implement unit goals and objectives.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for enhancing patient care.
- Promote a culture of safety and maintain a safe working environment for staff and patients.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Current Rn License In The State Of North Dakota
Bls And Acls Certifications
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting, Preferably In A Leadership Role
