Radiation Oncology Nurse Radiation

CHI St. Alexius Health is seeking an experienced Radiation Oncology Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for cancer care and experience in radiation oncology nursing. The Radiation Oncology Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessment and implementation of radiation therapy treatments in accordance with the treatment plan. Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care, including assessment and implementation of radiation therapy treatments according to the treatment plan • Monitor patient conditions and progress during radiation therapy • Administer patient medications and track responses • Educate patients on radiation therapy and its benefits • Develop individualized care plans for each patient • Follow safety guidelines and maintain clinical records • Communicate with physicians, staff, and patients in a professional manner • Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed • Maintain a clean and organized work environment • Participate in department meetings and staff training sessions • Assist other healthcare professionals with radiation oncology procedures
