Job Description

At CHI St. Alexius Health, our Physical Therapy Aides play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our team and provide exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be an organized and detail-oriented individual with a friendly and compassionate demeanor. To be considered for this position, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have prior experience working with patients in a healthcare setting. Certification or formal training as a Physical Therapy Aide is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist physical therapists in providing treatments to patients.
  2. Prepare and organize equipment and materials for treatments.
  3. Communicate with patients to ensure they are comfortable and informed throughout the rehabilitation process.
  4. Update patient records, and other required paperwork.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  6. Assist with scheduling and other administrative tasks as needed.
  7. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and federal regulations.
  9. Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  10. Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with changes in the field.
