Job Description

CHI St. Alexius Health is a vibrant healthcare center that is currently looking for an experienced and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing quality patient care.The ideal candidate will possess a valid Phlebotomy Technician Certification or be eligible for certification in the state of North Dakota, as well as prior experience in a healthcare setting. Additionally, you must have the ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner and be comfortable working with patients of all ages. Responsibilities:

  1. Draws blood from patients for laboratory testing and transfusions according to established standards and practices.
  2. Verifies patient information and performs all necessary paperwork.
  3. Maintains records of all collected specimens.
  4. Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  5. Follows established protocols for specimen collection, handling, and storage.
  6. Provides patient education and support in a professional manner.
  7. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  8. Assists in training and supervising new Phlebotomy staff.
  9. Participates in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  10. Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
