
Phlebotomist
CHI St. Alexius Health is looking for an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team of dedicated medical professionals. As our Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing, performing routine laboratory procedures, and ensuring the accuracy of laboratory results. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong knowledge of phlebotomy techniques, the ability to work well with patients, and an unwavering commitment to providing excellent patient care. We are looking for someone who is a team player, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work with a range of different personalities. Responsibilities:
• Draw blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing in a safe and accurate manner.
• Perform routine laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure the accuracy of laboratory results by double-checking results and verifying quality control.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures when handling blood specimens.
• Maintain a current knowledge of phlebotomy techniques and standards.
• Participate in continuing education activities.
• Work as part of a team to provide excellent patient care.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
