Phlebotomist

CHI St. Alexius Health is currently searching for a motivated and passionate Phlebotomist to join their team! Qualifications:• Valid Phlebotomy Certification• Minimum of one year of Phlebotomy experience• Ability to perform venipuncture and skin punctures in a professional manner• Strong understanding of Standard Precautions, safety procedures and safe handling of biohazardous materials• Familiarity with medical terminology• Ability to work with multiple computer systems and programs• Solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks• Professional and courteous customer service skills

Responsibilities: • Collect blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing • Perform venipuncture and skin punctures in a professional manner • Handle biohazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols • Enter patient information into computer systems and programs • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collected specimens • Monitor and restock lab supplies as needed • Follow up with patients regarding lab results and other issues • Provide courteous and professional customer service to patients • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
