  1. Dispensing Medications: The primary responsibility of a Pharmacist at CHI St. Alexius Health is to accurately dispense medications to patients based on their prescriptions and medical history.
  2. Patient Consultation: Pharmacist will provide patient consultation on the proper use, potential side effects, and interactions of medications to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  3. Medication Management: Pharmacist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement medication management plans for patients with complex medical conditions.
  4. Compliance with Regulations: It is the responsibility of the Pharmacist to stay up-to-date on all federal and state regulations related to pharmacy practice, and ensure compliance with these regulations at all times.
  5. Quality Control: Pharmacist will be responsible for maintaining the highest standard of quality control, including proper storage and handling of medications, and monitoring for potential medication errors.
  6. Inventory Management: Pharmacist will manage the inventory of medications, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage to meet patient needs.
  7. Team Collaboration: The Pharmacist will work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists, to provide the best possible care for patients.
  8. Continuous Education: Pharmacist will continuously seek out and participate in educational opportunities to stay current on new medications, treatments, and technologies in order to provide the best care to patients.
  9. Adverse Event Reporting: Pharmacist will be responsible for reporting any adverse events or medication errors to the appropriate parties, as well as implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  10. Customer Service: Pharmacist will provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding their medications or treatment plan.

Job Qualifications
  • A Valid Pharmacist License In The State Of North Dakota.

  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited College Of Pharmacy.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmaceuticals, Drug Interactions, And Dosage Requirements.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Interacting With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Experience In Hospital Or Clinical Pharmacy Settings, Preferably In A Large Healthcare Facility.

About CHI St. Alexius Health

The CHI St. Alexius Health regional healthcare system was formed in April 2016, when several Catholic Health Initiative healthcare facilities joined together to form the largest healthcare delivery system in central and western North Dakota. The system is comprised of a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, and critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health also manages five CAHs in North Dakota which are located in the communities of Ashley, Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics in Mobridge, SD.
