Job Description

At CHI St. Alexius Health, we are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Neuro Telemetry Nurse to join our team. As a Neuro Telemetry Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with neurological issues and other acute care needs. You will be responsible for monitoring their vital signs and neurological responses using specialized monitoring equipment, as well as providing direct patient care.The ideal candidate will possess a valid registered nursing license, at least two years of experience in a neuro-telemetry unit, and strong critical thinking skills. You must be able to work independently while also supporting the team in a collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor neurological responses and vital signs of patients with neurological issues and other acute care needs using specialized monitoring equipment.
  2. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  3. Provide direct patient care and evaluate patient responses to treatments.
  4. Educate patients and family members about health maintenance and disease prevention.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.
  6. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  7. Act as a patient advocate when needed.
  8. Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  9. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in neuro-telemetry care.
  10. Participate in continuing education courses.
