Job Description

CHI St. Alexius Health is looking for a compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for helping those in need and a strong commitment to providing quality care. In this role, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure our patients receive the best possible care.The successful applicant will have a minimum of an Associate's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field of study. Previous experience in the mental health field, particularly in a hospital setting, is desired. Our Mental Health Technician must be a strong team player, have excellent communication skills, and a dedication to patient-centered care. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate care to patients in a mental health setting.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible care for each patient.
  3. Possess and maintain a minimum of an Associate's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field of study.
  4. Demonstrate previous experience in the mental health field, particularly in a hospital setting.
  5. Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse patient population.
  6. Work as a team player and ensure patient-centered care.
  7. Monitor patient progress and develop treatment plans accordingly.
  8. Assist patients in activities of daily living.
  9. Educate patients and their families about mental health issues.
  10. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.

About CHI St. Alexius Health

The CHI St. Alexius Health regional healthcare system was formed in April 2016, when several Catholic Health Initiative healthcare facilities joined together to form the largest healthcare delivery system in central and western North Dakota. The system is comprised of a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, and critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services.
