Job Description

CHI St. Alexius Health is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to our patients with mental health issues. You will be an integral part of the team, helping to ensure that our patients receive high quality care and treatment.The ideal candidate for this position is organized, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required, as well as at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting. A valid driver's license and CPR certification are also necessary qualifications for this position.If you have a passion for helping others and are eager to join a dynamic and diverse team, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate care and support to patients with mental health issues.
  2. Participate in team meetings to ensure that patients receive high quality care and treatment.
  3. Monitor patient progress and document all patient interactions.
  4. Communicate effectively with both patients and staff.
  5. Maintain a safe and secure environment for all patients.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  7. Provide crisis intervention when needed.
  8. Assist with activities of daily living.
  9. Manage medications for patients.
  10. Assist with admission and discharge procedures.

The CHI St. Alexius Health regional healthcare system was formed in April 2016, when several Catholic Health Initiative healthcare facilities joined together to form the largest healthcare delivery system in central and western North Dakota. The system is comprised of a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, and critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services.
