Medical Records Clerk

CHI St. Alexius Health is looking for a dedicated, customer-service oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with medical records management, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills. In this position, you will have the opportunity to help maintain the accuracy of our patients' medical records and ensure that they are stored securely. Responsibilities:

1. Maintaining the accuracy and security of medical records.
2. Compiling, sorting, and filing medical records in accordance with established procedures.
3. Answering patient inquiries about their records.
4. Assisting with the release of information upon request.
5. Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all patient data.
6. Utilizing medical terminology in order to interpret patient records.
7. Maintaining accurate records of all patient information.
8. Developing and implementing procedures for maintaining medical records.
9. Working collaboratively with other departments to ensure patient records are up to date.
10. Ensuring HIPAA and other relevant regulations are followed.
