Medical Records Clerk

The successful candidate must have the ability to work with a variety of healthcare professionals, use computers effectively, and maintain an accurate medical record system.The Medical Records Clerk will be responsible for maintaining and organizing all medical records in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and policies. The ideal candidate must possess a high school diploma with experience in a medical office setting, as well as a working knowledge of medical terminology, medical record filing procedures, and HIPAA regulations. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality, as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and organize all medical records in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
2. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all medical records.
3. Utilize a working knowledge of medical terminology, medical record filing procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
4. Assist in the maintenance of a secure and accurate medical record system.
5. Work collaboratively with a variety of healthcare professionals.
6. Use computers effectively and efficiently.
7. Prioritize tasks and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
9. Answer inquiries from patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
10. Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
