1. Oversee the daily operations of the Intensive Care Unit and ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
2. Create and maintain a positive work environment for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
3. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
5. Monitor patient progress and intervene as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
6. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
7. Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
9. Facilitate and participate in patient care rounds and interdisciplinary meetings.
10. Ensure adequate staffing levels and make adjustments as needed.
11. Identify and address any issues or concerns related to patient care or unit operations.
12. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing changes to improve patient care.
13. Remain up-to-date on current trends, developments, and best practices in critical care nursing.
14. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
15. Attend and participate in departmental and hospital meetings and trainings as required.
