Hospital Security Officer

1. Monitor and patrol the premises of CHI St. Alexius Health to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
2. Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas and protect the hospital's assets.
3. Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including but not limited to, medical emergencies, fires, and security breaches.
4. Conduct regular security checks of all entrances, exits, and other key areas of the hospital to identify potential security risks and take appropriate action.
5. Maintain a visible presence and interact with patients, staff, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner to provide assistance and address any security concerns.
6. Monitor and operate security systems such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems to detect and prevent security breaches.
7. Collaborate with other hospital departments and law enforcement agencies to investigate incidents and gather evidence when necessary.
8. Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities.
9. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay updated on security protocols and procedures and maintain required certifications.
10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information and situations.
11. Assist with the implementation of safety and security initiatives to promote a culture of safety and security throughout the hospital.
12. Act as a role model for other security staff by demonstrating a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a commitment to providing exceptional security services.
13. Report any safety hazards or security risks to the appropriate departments for prompt resolution.
14. Demonstrate a positive attitude and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor or hospital administration.
