  1. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following established cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  2. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch areas.
  3. Monitor and restock supplies in patient rooms and common areas to ensure a sufficient inventory.
  4. Handle and dispose of waste and hazardous materials according to proper protocols.
  5. Follow infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
  6. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
  7. Adhere to safety standards and regulations while operating cleaning equipment and handling chemicals.
  8. Collaborate with other members of the EVS team to ensure efficient and effective cleaning practices.
  9. Communicate with nursing and medical staff to address any environmental concerns or needs.
  10. Attend training and education sessions to stay updated on proper cleaning techniques and protocols.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.

The CHI St. Alexius Health regional healthcare system was formed in April 2016, when several Catholic Health Initiative healthcare facilities joined together to form the largest healthcare delivery system in central and western North Dakota. The system is comprised of a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, and critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health also manages five CAHs in North Dakota which are located in the communities of Ashley, Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics in Mobridge, SD.
