Behavioral Health RN

We are currently seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN to join our team at CHI St. Alexius Health. We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care and support to patients in our behavioral health unit. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing compassionate care and a commitment to excellence.The Behavioral Health RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating comprehensive nursing care for patients with mental health and substance abuse issues. Responsibilities of the Behavioral Health RN:

1. Assess patient's mental health and substance abuse issues in order to develop individualized care plans.
2. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental health and substance abuse issues.
3. Monitor patient's progress and outcomes, and adjust treatments accordingly.
4. Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
5. Educate patients and their families on mental health and substance abuse topics.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans.
7. Record patient information in electronic health records.
8. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
9. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.
10. Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures.
