Behavioral Health RN

CHI St. Alexius Health is looking for an experienced and compassionate Behavioral Health RN to join our team. Our Behavioral Health RN will provide quality care to patients in our inpatient behavioral health unit. This position requires a special individual who is dedicated to helping patients improve their mental and emotional health. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least two years of experience providing professional nursing care in a behavioral health setting and must possess a valid nursing license. A strong knowledge of behavioral health principles, practices, and medications is essential. This individual must also maintain high standards of professional practice and demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and must demonstrate a commitment to working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Our Behavioral Health RN must also have a strong focus on patient safety and must be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide quality nursing care to patients in an inpatient behavioral health unit.
2. Monitor patient conditions and symptoms and provide appropriate interventions.
3. Administer and monitor medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
4. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatments.
5. Maintain patient records, documentation, and medical charts.
6. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
8. Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards of practice.
9. Participate in continuing education and training activities.
10. Promote patient safety through risk assessment and prevention strategies.
