Job Description

Are you a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with a passion for quality assurance and testing? Do you thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? Chase Bank is currently seeking a Substantive Tester to join our Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and functionality of our banking systems and applications. We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and excellent communication skills. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

  1. Conduct thorough and comprehensive testing of banking systems and applications to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  2. Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate system functionality and identify defects.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand testing requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
  4. Utilize testing tools and methodologies to conduct automated and manual tests.
  5. Identify, report, and track defects to resolution.
  6. Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements.
  7. Document and maintain test cases, scripts, and results for future reference.
  8. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in the field of testing.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide status updates and escalate issues.
  10. Participate in project planning and provide estimates for testing efforts.
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  12. Ensure adherence to testing standards and procedures.
  13. Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  14. Collaborate with the TCoE team to continuously improve testing processes and strategies.
  15. Provide assistance and training to team members on testing processes and tools.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Functional Testing: The Ideal Candidate For A Tcoe Substantive Tester Job At Chase Bank Should Have A Strong Background In Functional Testing, Including Designing And Executing Test Cases, Identifying Defects, And Reporting Test Results.

  • Knowledge Of Banking Industry Regulations: Chase Bank Operates In A Heavily Regulated Environment, And A Tcoe Substantive Tester Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Banking Industry Regulations Such As Fdic, Occ, And Cfpb.

  • Experience With Automation Testing Tools: In Addition To Manual Testing, The Tcoe Substantive Tester Should Have Experience With Automation Testing Tools Such As Selenium, Qtp, Or Rational Functional Tester To Increase Testing Efficiency And Effectiveness.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Tcoe Substantive Tester Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Business Requirements And Identify Potential Gaps And Risks In The Testing Process. They Should Also Have The Ability To Troubleshoot Issues And Provide Practical Solutions.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Member Of The Tcoe Team, The Substantive Tester Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Project Managers, Developers, And Other Team Members. They Should Also Have Strong Teamwork Skills And Be Able To Collaborate With Others To Achieve Common Goals.
