
Collections Supervisor

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the collections department and ensure that all collections activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze collection metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of collections agents to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully collect on delinquent accounts.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback and coaching to collections agents to maintain high levels of productivity and quality.
- Develop and implement collection strategies to minimize losses and maximize recoveries.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and credit, to resolve customer inquiries and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Manage and maintain relationships with third-party collection agencies and legal counsel.
- Prepare reports and presentations on collection activities and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and inquiries, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
- Continuously review and update collection policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with industry best practices and company goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and a strong customer service culture.
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Collections, Preferably In The Banking Industry.
Strong Leadership And Supervisory Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Debt Collection, Such As Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (Fdcpa) And Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (Cfpb) Guidelines.
