The ideal candidate will also have excellent negotiation and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Required qualifications for this role include:* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field* At least 3 years of experience in a procurement-related role* Working knowledge of procurement processes, procedures, and regulations* Strong negotiation and analytical skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities of the Strategic Procurement Specialist:
- Develop and manage the company’s procurement activities, including identifying vendor opportunities and negotiating contracts.
- Analyze the cost-effectiveness of potential vendors and evaluate their capabilities.
- Negotiate prices and payment terms with vendors.
- Research and evaluate new suppliers to ensure they meet the company’s procurement standards.
- Monitor the performance of existing suppliers and ensure compliance with procurement regulations and policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Monitor market trends and analyze the impact on procurement decisions.
- Facilitate communication between vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities and performance.
