Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Principal UX Researcher to join our team at Charter Communications. The ideal candidate has a passion for researching user experience (UX) and a desire to create a better experience for our customers.The Principal UX Researcher will lead the UX research team, plan and conduct user experience research, and develop insights which will drive successful product strategy and design. The incumbent will collaborate with product teams, design, and engineering to ensure the integrity of the user experience throughout the product lifecycle.The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of UX research principles, methods and techniques, and demonstrated expertise in designing and conducting user research. The ideal candidate will have a passion for uncovering user insights, a knack for turning data into actionable recommendations, and a desire to help make a difference for our customers.Minimum qualifications:• 8+ years of experience in user experience research• Demonstrated experience leading UX research initiatives from start to finish• Deep understanding of UX research principles, methods and techniques• Experience working with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure UX integrity• Excellent communication and collaboration skills• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Ability to create and present compelling stories backed by research data• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related field

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the UX research team in the development and execution of UX research initiatives.
  2. Plan and conduct user experience research and develop insights to drive successful product strategy and design.
  3. Collaborate with product teams, design, and engineering to ensure the integrity of user experience throughout the product lifecycle.
  4. Analyze and interpret user research data and turn it into actionable recommendations.
  5. Create, present, and communicate compelling stories backed by research data.
  6. Develop and manage UX research team budget.
  7. Stay up to date with UX research best practices, technologies, and trends.
  8. Manage team tasks and projects and provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
  9. Develop and implement UX research processes and standards.
  10. Identify areas for improvement in the user experience and recommend solutions.
