Manager, Network Engineering

Charter Communications is seeking an experienced, motivated Manager of Network Engineering to help build and manage our fast-growing network. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative professional to join a dynamic organization. The Manager of Network Engineering will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of Charter’s network engineering strategies and initiatives. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, as well as at least 8 years of experience in network engineering. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as experience with IP routing protocols. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the development and implementation of Charter’s network engineering strategies and initiatives.
2. Develop technical plans to ensure network operations are running smoothly.
3. Design, test, and implement new network systems.
4. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues.
5. Implement network security measures to protect against cyber threats.
6. Work with vendors to select and install new network equipment.
7. Provide technical guidance and leadership to the network engineering team.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as experience with IP routing protocols.
10. Track departmental progress and ensure compliance with industry standards.
