Lead Internal Auditor

At Charter Communications we are looking for a talented Lead Internal Auditor to join our team. As a Lead Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for creating and managing the internal audit department and ensuring that Charter’s financial controls, processes, and systems are functioning properly. This role requires an individual with strong technical and leadership skills as well as a commitment to excellence.The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and at least 5 years of internal audit experience. A Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is preferred. You must also have prior experience leading and managing a team and the ability to evaluate and report on financial risks. Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.To succeed in this role, you should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You must also demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities:

1. Create and manage the internal audit department to ensure Charter’s financial controls, processes, and systems are functioning properly.
2. Lead and manage a team of internal auditors.
3. Evaluate and report on financial risks.
4. Develop and maintain audit procedures and plans.
5. Conduct financial and operational audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
6. Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
7. Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and assess their impact on internal processes and procedures.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
9. Ensure that audit processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
10. Train and mentor internal auditors.
