
Senior Manager, Business Unit Risk

- Develop and implement risk management strategies for the designated business unit in alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
- Lead and manage a team of risk professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure successful execution of risk management initiatives.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact on the business unit.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate potential risks associated with new business initiatives, products, and services.
- Monitor and analyze risk data and trends, and provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
- Stay current with industry regulations and changes in the financial services landscape, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular training and workshops to promote risk awareness and understanding among employees within the business unit.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulators and auditors, to ensure compliance and alignment with industry standards.
- Continuously review and improve risk management processes and procedures, and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on risk management matters, providing guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
- Foster a culture of risk management excellence within the business unit, promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
- Represent the company in external forums and industry events, showcasing our risk management practices and thought leadership.

Extensive Risk Management Experience: As A Senior Manager Of Business Unit Risk, Candidates Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Risk Management Principles, Methodologies, And Best Practices. This Includes Experience In Identifying, Assessing, And Mitigating Various Types Of Risks Within A Business Unit.
Financial Acumen: Charles Schwab Is A Financial Services Company, And Thus, A Senior Manager In This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Financial Concepts And The Ability To Interpret And Analyze Financial Data. This Includes Experience In Budgeting, Forecasting, And Financial Reporting.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: In This Role, The Senior Manager Will Need To Effectively Communicate With Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Leadership, Team Members, And External Partners. This Requires Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Collaborate And Work Well With Others.
