  1. Maintain and enhance mainframe systems to ensure their stability and efficiency.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mainframe systems.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for mainframe systems.
  4. Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations.
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation for mainframe systems.
  6. Review and recommend updates and upgrades to mainframe infrastructure and software.
  7. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in mainframe engineering and make recommendations for implementation.
  8. Work with project managers to plan and execute mainframe-related projects.
  9. Train and mentor junior mainframe engineers.
  10. Conduct system audits and implement security measures to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  11. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for mainframe systems.
  12. Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  13. Communicate project status, issues, and risks to management and stakeholders.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  15. Continuously suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of mainframe systems.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working With Mainframe Systems In A Large-Scale Enterprise Environment.

  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience With Mainframe Operating Systems Such As Z/Os, Z/Vm, Or Z/Vse.

  • Strong Understanding Of Mainframe Hardware And Associated Storage Systems.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Complex Technical Issues.
