- Develop and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance the quantitative research capabilities of Charles Schwab.
- Lead a team of engineers to design, build and maintain a cutting-edge research platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the research platform.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, enabling their professional growth and development.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or roadblocks in the development and implementation of the research platform.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to provide updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Contribute to the overall strategy and vision for the research platform, in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Extensive Experience In Quantitative Research And Platform Engineering, With A Minimum Of 10 Years In A Leadership Role.
Comprehensive Knowledge Of Financial Markets And Trading Strategies, Including Algorithmic Trading And Risk Management.
Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As Python, Java, And C++, As Well As Experience With Cloud Computing And Data Analytics Tools.
Demonstrated Ability To Lead And Mentor A Team Of Quantitative Researchers And Platform Engineers, With A Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Complex Projects On Time And Within Budget.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Complex Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
